SJBCC Membership

By buying a membership in the SJBCC you will help maintain the SJBCC and give it the stable financial base needed to turn Swisshelm Park’s diamond in the rough into our crown jewel.

Membership Information

All 2025 memberships cost $35 and come with benefits

A fifty-dollar ($50) discount the first time you rent the SJBCC for an event in 2025
Discounted admissions to community events held at the SJBCC
Priority booking of the SJBCC for your private event*
Request space at the SJBCC for meetings of your community club**
Guaranteed email notification of upcoming community events held at the SJBCC
Voting Members only: One vote in general meetings and one vote in Governing Board elections

*Voting members book up to 12 month in advance of your event; Social members book up to 9 months in advance of your event

Membership Types

Voting Membership

All current residents of voting age (18+ yo) living in the City’s Swisshelm Park
neighborhood are eligible to buy a Voting Membership. Voting Members are critical to keeping the SJBCC accountable to the community. Voting Members are asked to attend quarterly general meetings, elect the Governing Board that operates the SJBCC, and consider serving a term or two on the Board.

Social Membership

Our community extends well past the City’s definition of Swisshelm Park. Non-Swisshelm Park residents with close ties to Swisshelm Park are eligible to buy a Social Membership. Social Members are invited to attend general meetings but cannot vote.

Become a Member

We want to make membership as accessible as possible. Filling out the membership application online is the easiest for us, so that we don't have to decipher handwriting, but you may also print out the membership form.

*Your membership will not become active until we receive your payment. If you are filling out the online application, please be sure that we are able to connect your application with your payment.*

Payment

We can accept payment via Cash, Check, or Zelle. You can find us on Zelle using our email address SJBCCPGH@gmail.com. Cash and Checks can be delivered through US mail or dropped in the Drop-in Door Slot at 1050 Windermere Dr., Pittsburgh, PA 15218.

If multiple members of your household want the to vote in general meetings and in governing board elections, please fill out a separate form for each individual. Payments may be made together but please indicate clearly the names of the individuals the payment is for.

Ex: Check for $110 with a note stating "For membership fees for John Doe, Jane Doe, and Julie Doe. $5 Donation"
